Moon IC Line- Hell on Earth or Domestic bliss?

Moving to my Moon in IC Line?

Agadir & Essaouria, Morocco

What is the IC in Astrology?

The IC stands for Imum Coeli (IC; from Latin for “bottom of the sky”) and it is located at the bottom of an astrological chart. It marks the start (the cusps) of the 4th sector of the chart (12 sections in total).

In the 4th is where family, property, land, inner life, nationhood, roots, the core of you, and the end of life are all located.

What is an IC Line?

In locational astrology, the IC line is the equivalent of visiting the 4th house. And the Moon in IC is like having the Moon placed in the 4th sector of an astrology chart. But we also have MC (career and ambition line), DC (partnership line), and AC (outward personality line).

It is said that visiting any planet in IC we may develop a penchant for introspection. Therefore, the IC line is perfect for rejuvenating oneself and recharging our batteries from the stresses of daily life.

We think more about home and belonging. Can form or think about deep bonds.

My IC line runs through Portugal and Morocco. With Lisbon, a city I love, and part of the costal region of Morocco are directly on the line.

Well, not just costal towns, but places that are the Gateway to the Desert.

Where is My line located?

If you did not know my Mars is in Cancer. However, Mars opposes my Moon in Capricorn in the 3rd conjunct the 4th and the south node in Aquarius.

The Moon

The Moon rules water along with Neptune. Experiencing emotional problems. Digestive disorders. The mother. Women. Domesticity and feelings.

Hell on Earth a.k.a Marrakech

The Koutoubia Mosque

Forgive me, if it is haram to mention hell then place a picture of the most famous Mosque in Marrakech directly below. But Jemaa el-Fnaa (the market and the vendors) was a hellish place full of demons. And the Market square happens to be a stone throw away from the Mosque.

If the symbol of the city is Jemaa el-Fnaa I don’t ever want any part of Marrakech ever again in my life (unless I know a local).

A sensory overload it was not. India was a sensory overload. Vibrant smells of spices and incense.  Marrakech and its main square is just a big maze located in the pits of hell.

I was in Marrakech because it’s the place where you need to transfer to get to other destinations. And I was slowly making my way to my Mars in MC in zenith, which was still some distance away.

Thus, Marrakech is not my hotspot. But the city has become a popular destination amongst other travellers outside of France.

I really can’t understand why.

But there I was trying to find my Riad.

Get The Tourist Lost!

I wished that someone told me that a lot of accommodations in Morocco are located in markets which they call souks located in a medina. Furthermore, that the vendors, police, and taxi drivers, are involved in an elaborate game named-

“Get the tourist lost.”

Even the guide books and blogs are in on it, selling “getting lost” as a romantic stroll on The Champs-Élysées lol

8 hours of walking in the piping hot underworld. They had won their demonic game.

After countless of motorbikes nearly ran me down.  Gauntlet  down, they had won.

People wanting me to “follow them” ended with me shouting at vendors aggressively. Shouting at the man who turned out to be the Riad owner.

They had won their little game. They had finally broke me.

“There’s a special place in hell for all of you” “Allah sees what you’re doing”

I shouted

And that is when I eventually found the place I would be staying for two nights.

And what I learnt from then on was,

You are never lost, because you will always find your way, always!

Essaouria

After spending three hectic days in Marrakech, I finally reached tranquil Essaouira. I was staying right next to the beach, nowhere near a medina (Praise Jesus).

Apartment near the beach

By the time I had to depart my lovely Airbnb I knew I was going to miss it. I could imagine myself owning a property there one day. I didn’t know how it could happen but the thought creeped into my mind.

Agadir

Agadir, a mere hour distant by car, was livelier than Essaouria. Curiously, Agadir has sister cities in the United States, specifically in the form of Miami and Oakland.

From what I saw, dozens of Brits were on package holidays. They arrived in their droves. It is strange, as I never saw any of them outside of arrivals.

Agair was a great place to get away from it all and experience the latest in modern conveniences. There are mountains, a beach, and a plethora of hip coffee shops. Though I adored my time there, I found that many aspects of the infrastructure needed improvement. Although road and building work was under construction my impression was that they wanted everything to be flawless, yet the sequence in which they were working made no sense. It was extremely hazardous.

So what happened after I visited these two places?

Stay tuned.
