Houses

What is the 6th House?

What is The 6th House? It’s the house where you work things out!

There’s no better place to turn to if you’re looking for a new job. If you need some structure in your life. Alternatively, if you want to get the skills you need to land the job of your dreams, look no further than the 6th house.

Working Conditions

As you can expect, the 6th house shows our working environment, i.e., indicates whether you will work in a cubicle, work by yourself, etc.

The 6th house highlights the activities we will provide. It gives clues about our role and our working hours. Who we interact with at work, as in our work colleagues, clients, and so forth.

If there are more than two planets in the natal 6th house, you might be over-committed to your work to the point that there is no separation between yourself and your job.

However, our job role can change over time. Therefore, check the sixth house in your solar or transit chart to get a glimpse of your current job status.

Nevertheless, the sixth house is where we find our specialized skills or work on technical skills (training we need to undertake). And because doctors and vets concentrate primarily on pursuing a specialty and both serve their patients, we can find doctors, veterinarians, and pets here.

Difference between the 3rd and 6th House

As a result, some astrologers also believe this to be a place to discover potential health issues. Furthermore, with active Mercury naturally ruling the 6th house emphasizes our physicality; how we carry out tasks.

The tasks we perform here then become part of our routine.

However, the routines located in the 6th, like the work we do on a day-to-day basis, should not be confused with the third house’s associations with daily activities (errands), transport, and mobility.

In the 6th, things are carried out for a specific purpose. And as previously mentioned; carried out for work and health purposes. The movements made in this house also affect our colleagues and our efficiency.

Here we are concerned with how we care for our body, rather than focusing on the mind, as is the case with the third house. In the 6th, we use our body to follow a procedure (like exercise).

Habits and Routines

As a result, this is the house where we take the necessary steps to create long-term changes. And we are reminded what we repeatedly do will eventually become a habit.

What we do every day ultimately becomes part of our structure and forms part of our character & lifestyle. `

Therefore, we can get an insight into the trajectory of our life just by studying this house more closely.

It’s important to take a close look around the house and figure out what’s actually beneficial and what’s just a bad habit that needs to be ditched.

Mundanely, routines and habits found here include deciding what to wear to work (dressing), Hygiene like brushing teeth. Dietary needs (meal planning to give us energy, etc.)

Planets in the 6th

Let’s suppose there is a stellium of planets (especially if the Moon is also there), then a person will forever worry about health, fitness, food. And or hygiene. When a well-thought-out routine is in place, a Moon in the 6th person feels safe, which makes them less worried.

Similarly, sixth house folk needs to know what will happen each day to feel safe and feel productive. Which is more than almost any other house besides the 2nd house.

Unfortunately, routines, ethics, productivity are all considered boring.

Similarities to the 4th House

So, just like in the 4th house, ironing, washing, and vacuuming must be done every day. The 6th house is also a dull place full of tedious chores we need to complete.

However, providing a service can be fun if we love what we are doing (such as looking after a small, domesticated pet can be fun).

And although routines such as formulating a good sleep program help reduce our stress levels and improve our mental health. But don’t think this house is all about one’s well-being.The 6th house was once known as a place for servants.

Association with Virgo and Service

This is Virgo’s natural home, a sign of “people-pleasers.” Virgo’s influence is to assist others rather than being self-motivated or ambitious, as in the 10th house.

Therefore, the 6th house is where we serve others, often without being thanked.) Thus, the key to succeeding 6th house themes is to work out who we need to help and why we need to help them!
