How to Spot a Sagittarius Woman
The Free Spirit Who Always Has a Story to Tell
You can spot a Sagittarius woman by her offbeat personality, quick wit and rather unconventional approach to life. She’s intelligent, adventurous and has a knack for getting along with people from all walks of life. You might find her discussing philosophy with a complete stranger one minute and making an outrageous joke the next.
She’s the wild child of the zodiac, and with Jupiter ruling her sign, it’s hardly surprising that she’s always looking for something bigger, better or more interesting. Freedom is practically her middle name.
What’s not to love about a Sagittarius woman?
Well, her critics might say she’s overly optimistic, if not downright toxically positive. But Sag isn’t having any of it. She’ll probably tell you that you’re a pessimist who spends far too much time dwelling on life’s harsh realities.
You see, a Sagittarius woman’s natural instinct is to look on the bright side. There’s always a silver lining, another opportunity or another way of looking at things. Even when things go horribly wrong, she’ll find a way to turn the experience into a story worth telling.
Of course, this sunny disposition has its drawbacks.
Her need to do things differently can land her in some rather embarrassing situations. She might say something completely inappropriate, make an announcement before all the details have been sorted out or take a gamble when perhaps a little common sense wouldn’t go amiss.
Imagine announcing your engagement, only for everyone to discover there’s no ring, no wedding date and possibly no actual agreement from the other person. That’s the sort of premature announcement a Sagittarius might make when she’s already mentally halfway down the aisle.
Sagittarius has a habit of jumping the gun. She’s a gambler, after all. She’ll take her chances, throw something out there and see what happens.
And if it doesn’t work out? Well, there’s always another adventure.
Is the Sagittarius Woman Carefree or Careless?
There’s a fine line between being carefree and being careless, and Sagittarius has been known to dance along it.
She can be surprisingly reckless with money, make spontaneous decisions and occasionally find herself in financial situations that would give a more cautious zodiac sign sleepless nights. Yet somehow, she has a knack for bouncing back. She might be in debt one minute and celebrating an unexpected financial breakthrough the next.
It’s this carefree attitude that makes her so likeable. She’s not particularly interested in following the rules just because everybody else does. She wants to enjoy herself, experience life and make her own discoveries.
Unfortunately, not everybody has good intentions. Her easygoing nature can attract people who are more than happy to take advantage of her generosity, optimism or willingness to give somebody another chance.
But don’t mistake her niceness for a lack of intelligence. Sagittarius is a student of life. She observes, learns and eventually works things out. She might not confront you immediately, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t noticed what you’ve been doing.
The funny thing is, even when she’s figured somebody out, she might still struggle to cut them out of her life completely. She can walk away, only to find herself back in the same situation some time later.
Apparently, some lessons require a few repeat performances!
The Sagittarius Woman: Did You Hear What I Said?
Here’s something I’ve noticed about Sagittarius women. You can ask them a question and get absolutely no response. Nothing. Not even an ‘uh-huh’ or a little nod to let you know they’ve heard you.
So you ask again.
Still nothing.
You might even start wondering whether she’s heard a word you’ve said. But she has! She’s simply thinking about her answer. And apparently, acknowledging that she’s heard you can wait until she’s finished having that little conversation in her head.
It’s almost as though she’s temporarily disconnected from the outside world while she’s processing whatever you’ve just said.
Don’t be surprised if she eventually comes back with an answer that has very little to do with the question you originally asked. She’s been thinking, after all!
The Sagittarius Woman Wants You to Experience It Too!
Another interesting Sagittarius trait is her tendency to want other people to experience what she’s experienced herself.
If she’s discovered something wonderful, she’ll want you to try it. If she’s travelled somewhere amazing, she’ll probably insist that you go too. Or if she’s had a terrible experience, she might be equally keen for you to understand exactly what it was like.
It’s almost as though her experiences become a reference point for everybody else’s life.
Sometimes this is lovely. She’s enthusiastic, generous with her recommendations and genuinely wants other people to enjoy the things she enjoys.
Other times, you might wonder why she’s so determined for you to go through something that you have absolutely no interest in experiencing!
But that’s Sagittarius. She doesn’t just want to tell you about life; she wants you to get out there and experience it for yourself.
Dating and Relationships: The Sagittarius Woman Is the Hunter
When it comes to relationships, Sagittarius is the hunter, regardless of gender. She enjoys the chase, the excitement of meeting somebody new and the thrill of discovering whether there’s a spark.
But don’t assume she needs to chase you.
There’s something rather attractive about her quick wit, confidence and ability to make almost any conversation interesting. She can flirt without appearing to flirt, and before you’ve finished asking her out, she might jokingly ask herself out on your behalf!
Her sense of humour can be her greatest asset. She knows how to make people laugh, and she’s unlikely to sit around waiting for somebody else to entertain her.
However, there’s a contradiction in the Sagittarius woman’s approach to relationships. She wants freedom, but she can find herself attracted to situations that eventually require her to break free.
She might convince herself that she wants a traditional marriage, a settled lifestyle and all the usual trimmings, only to discover that the reality doesn’t quite fit the person she is.
And yet, she can repeatedly find herself in relationships where she feels restricted, only to become frustrated when she has to fight for the freedom she wanted in the first place.
Her challenge is learning that freedom doesn’t necessarily mean having to escape something.
The Jupiterian Woman
Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion, abundance, opportunity, philosophy and higher learning. In the natural zodiac, Jupiter is associated with the ninth house, which is why Sagittarius is often connected with travel, foreign cultures, religion, education and the search for meaning.
She might not be particularly interested in sitting in a traditional classroom, but don’t mistake that for a lack of curiosity. She can spend hours learning about other people, different cultures, religion, philosophy or the meaning of life.
She’s an eternal student, although she would probably prefer to choose her own syllabus!
