How to Spot a Pisces Woman
Pisces Woman: The Down-to-Earth Dreamer Who Knows More Than She Lets On
You can spot a Pisces woman by her seemingly unassuming personality, quick wit and ability to make herself at home in almost any environment. She’s often more down-to-earth and relatable than people expect.
Stop imagining Pisces women floating around in a dream world; in reality she is surprisingly grounded, observant and perfectly capable of dealing with everyday life.
In fact, she might be the woman sitting quietly in the background, listening to everybody else’s conversation while noticing things that nobody else has picked up on.
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and with Neptune as her modern ruler, it’s associated with dreams, imagination, music, glamour, cinema, illusion and everything that exists beyond the obvious.
There’s something rather elusive about this sign. She can be friendly, approachable and seemingly easy to understand, yet there’s often another side to her personality that you won’t discover until you get to know her.
And don’t be surprised if she’s considerably more interesting behind closed doors!
Her Personality: Sweet, Funny and Occasionally Dramatic
A Pisces woman can give the impression of somebody who wears her heart on her sleeve. She’ll tell you about her hardships, the people who’ve let her down, her anxieties, her ambitions and how much she cares about the people around her.
She can be wonderfully empathetic, particularly when somebody is going through a difficult time. But she also has a tendency to have a few complaints of her own!
Pisces can be one of those signs that always seems to have a story about something that’s happened to her. There’s always somebody who has upset her, something that hasn’t gone according to plan or an experience that she’d rather forget.
But don’t expect her to sit there feeling sorry for herself all day. Pisces has a surprisingly good sense of humour. She’s particularly good at one-liners, making fun of herself and delivering a rather unexpected observation when everybody else is taking things too seriously.
She can be brilliant at parody, slapstick and self-deprecating humour. And if she’s experienced a particularly difficult upbringing, her comedy might have a rather dark edge to it.
Sometimes she’ll make a joke about something that leaves everybody else wondering whether they should laugh or look concerned!
But there’s another side to her personality. Although many Pisces women are gentle and non-confrontational, not all of them are particularly easygoing.
Some seem to find themselves in one controversy after another. They’re competitive, argumentative or somehow always involved in a disagreement with somebody. Interestingly, they might still see themselves as the victim, even when they’ve played a part in creating the situation.
And then there’s the indirect approach.
Pisces’ indirect approach.
Rather than confronting somebody herself, a Pisces woman might have a particularly outspoken friend who is quite happy to say the things she would rather keep to herself. It’s almost as though she’s found somebody to do the confronting on her behalf!
Of course, not every Pisces woman behaves this way. Many are genuinely calm, accommodating and would rather walk away from an argument than participate in one.
But whether she’s avoiding confrontation or finding herself in the middle of it, Pisces can have a complicated relationship with conflict.
The Pisces Woman: Sensitive but Not Always Confident
One of Pisces’ greatest difficulties can be her relationship with her own self-worth.
She might be talented, intelligent, attractive and perfectly capable of achieving what she wants, yet somehow struggle to recognise these qualities in herself.
She can feel overlooked, misunderstood or as though nobody quite appreciates what she brings to the table.
And because she’s so sensitive to other people’s feelings, she can sometimes become more concerned with how everybody else is doing than with looking after herself.
If you become friends with a Pisces woman, you can expect somebody who is generous, affectionate and willing to lend a helping hand. She wants her friends to do well, and she’ll often go out of her way to make somebody feel better.
But she also wants loyalty and encouragement in return. She needs people who believe in her, particularly when she’s having difficulty believing in herself.
There’s a reason why some Pisces women can become quite attached to people who make them feel understood. Being accepted for who they are, without having to explain every little thing, can mean an awful lot to them.
How to Spot a Pisces Woman: Look Beyond the Obvious
Trying to identify a Pisces woman by her appearance isn’t necessarily straightforward. She’s an adaptable sign, and she can change her presentation depending on where she is and who she’s with.
One minute she might look effortlessly casual, and the next she’s dressed up for an evening out. She can be glamorous, understated, bohemian or quite ordinary-looking. There’s no single Pisces uniform!
Astrologically, however, Pisces is traditionally associated with the feet. So, if you want to indulge in a little zodiac detective work, pay attention to her footwear.
She might have an interesting collection of shoes, take particular care over her feet or have a habit of tapping, crossing or playing with them when she’s sitting down.
But perhaps the more recognisable giveaway is her ability to appear perfectly ordinary while having an extraordinarily busy imagination.
She might be sitting there looking as though she’s listening to everything, but there’s a good chance she’s mentally somewhere else entirely.
And that’s Pisces. She’s here, but sometimes she’s also somewhere else!
Pisces in Relationships: The Romantic Who Falls for the Potential
When it comes to relationships, Pisces can be wonderfully expressive. She wants romance, affection and somebody who understands her emotional world.
She might tell you exactly how she feels, using language that’s almost poetic. She’s capable of making an ordinary conversation sound like a declaration of love.
But there’s a catch.
Pisces can sometimes fall in love with the person somebody could become rather than the person standing in front of her.
She might see potential where other people see problems. An emotionally unavailable partner becomes somebody who simply needs understanding. Somebody with an addiction or complicated circumstances becomes a person she believes she can help.
And before long, she’s invested in a relationship that exists partly in her imagination.
This is where Pisces needs to be careful. There’s a difference between loving somebody and falling in love with the version of them you’ve created in your head.
When she does find somebody who genuinely meets her emotional needs, she can be an exceptionally loving and attentive partner. She wants to nurture, support and make sure the person she loves feels appreciated.
She needs somebody who listens, communicates and understands that sensitivity isn’t necessarily the same thing as weakness.
The difficulty is that sometimes she thinks she’s found that person when she hasn’t!
The Pisces Woman and Her Career: Born to Create?
Pisces is associated with imagination, creativity and the world behind the scenes. Consequently, it’s not surprising that many astrologers associate this sign with artistic and creative professions.
Writing, poetry, music, dancing, acting and fashion design can all appeal to the Piscean imagination.
But don’t assume she has to become an artist to express her Neptune influence.
An Aquarius woman might enjoy working in healthcare, caring for others or doing something that allows her to make a difference in people’s lives. She could be a doctor, nurse, therapist or somebody working in a supporting role.
She might also enjoy working behind the scenes in television, broadcasting, film or the entertainment industry.
And sometimes it’s the less obvious occupations that appeal to her. She could be the barista who remembers everybody’s coffee order, the person who works quietly behind the scenes or the woman with an ordinary-looking job and an extraordinary creative hobby.
Pisces doesn’t necessarily need the spotlight. Sometimes she’s perfectly happy helping to create the magic while somebody else takes the credit!
Pisces Tidbits: The Neptune Woman
“Jupiter traditionally rules Pisces, while modern astrology also recognises Neptune as its ruler. Neptune represents dreams, imagination, music, cinema, glamour, spirituality, escapism and illusion.
In the natural zodiac, Pisces corresponds with the twelfth house, which governs the unconscious, isolation, hidden matters, institutions and everything that exists beyond ordinary awareness.”
This is perhaps why Pisces can be so difficult to pin down. She’s not always as straightforward as she appears, and there’s often more going on beneath the surface than she’s letting on.
